Gannon Beck
Gannon is CEO and co-owner of OO-RAH.com, a company that specializes in military logo illustration. Since its inception, OO-RAH.com has created more than 1200 logos for military units, primarily the Marine Corps. Previous to running OO-RAH.com, Gannon worked as a freelance graphic designer in both web based and print media. During his freelance design career, he worked for a wide array of companies ranging from non-profits such as the National Aeronautic Association and the Marine Corps Heritage Foundation, to tech companies including AOL and HP.
In addition to his business pursuits, Gannon is a blogger who is in the process of writing a book, Expert Power, which spans the topics of self-education, non-traditional education, and education reform. While working on his book, it became clear to Gannon the essential role collaboration plays in one’s intellectual development. Consequently, he became drawn to environments, like the Bright Center, where collaborative learning could take place.
